WCGC is an affiliate of U.S. Chess Federation, Hawaii Chess Federation, Chess Express, Inc and Amercian Go Assoiation. The chess/go club combines educational and social activities. Members come to play, to learn, and to get together with old friends and make new ones. The players, no matter what their level of skill, experience, or age - speak a common language, and one that is often not understood in other areas of a person's life. The rivalries are friendly; the friendships are competitive.

Windward Chess & Go Club in Action
After spenting all day along with 150 plus players at the Veteran's Day Scholastic tournament and just as many parents and coaches, I arrived late to our Monday Night Chess & Go club meeting, I had to stop and pickup dinner for someone I am a caregiver too! The group had one chess board setup and I had the rest, inlcuding the Go boards. As you see we have lots of reference material to review and purchase if we like and we hope to see you soon. But within a few minutes we had chess and go sets setup and ready to play, there was eight of us, thanks Joey for taking photo's!
We no longer have the 10 tables in Center Court at Windward Mall, but Borders Book & Music Store has been very supportive via close friends of chess & go members of the community, we have been welcome there to play chess & go. We meet on Mondays and yes most holidays if the Borders is open, we'll be there, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Also Starbucks Coffee which is in Borders also will alowed to meet there as needed, so we'll see you soon! Lets play Chess or Go or both if you can!
We be linking to Vet's Day results as soon as they are available at http://www.hawaiichess.org/ and CXR http://www.cxrchess.com/ and HICL standings at http://www.windwardchess.org/.
